However it is possible for you to build up your own car insurance or auto insurance records. As a first step you can order for the copies of the old cheque you have used to pay the insurance premiums. If you have used credit card for the same, you can have the credit card transaction details from the provider for the purpose.
Another way is to contact your State Department for insurances and find out all about the state laws relating to disclosure on your car insurance records. You have to get your auto insurance records either from the agent or from the carrier and if the carrier does not respond the agent is the best person to provide you the records. On the other hand if the agent does not respond it will be the carrier. If both do not respond you will have no other alternative but to go for litigation to obtain records and file complaints with the State Department of insurance for action.
