So many years have passed since people have been using the credit card machines that nobody even thinks about them any more. Most of us take them from granted. How ever, when they had first made their presence, they made people wonder where technology was heading.
People who used to carry wads of money could get their financial tasks completed just by a plastic strip, the size of a business card. History repeats itself and the time has come for people to sit up and stare in wonder again.
Welcome to the world of the wireless credit card terminal. There are many businesses that have to be on the move. Take for example the taxi drivers. They cannot stay in a static location. They accept payment in cash only. Most people have become accustomed to credit cards and they hardly carry any cash with them.
The little amount of cash that they do carry with them is for paying their transportation charges. How would it feel if the taxi driver accepted the fare through credit cards instead of cash?
That day is not far off; in fact that day is here. The technology is here only the implementation is required. Whenever a product is mass produced, its prices tend to fall down and the same had happened with the credit card machines. The technology of the wireless credit card is a new one and it will take some time to adapt itself with the rest of the world. The prices of the same are a bit too high, but it will not be long before the same falls down.

If and when these wireless wonders make their presence felt all over the place, what will become of the green papers we are al accustomed to? Will it be able to survive the onslaught of the plastic cards or will people still keep some of it in their wallets? Come to think of it, many years have passed since the credit card terminals were introduced. It is a fact that not all shops have them. Regardless of the advancements in technology, traditional methods of purchasing cannot be eliminated all together.
